Job Title: IT Project Manager


Job Description :

Primary Role – (overview and overall purpose of the job) Planning, scheduling and execution of business-related IT projects and IT projects with near term focus on mergers and acquisitions. Identify opportunities for improving the Project Management Process to ensure PMO is a value added service that is easy to engage and reliable in delivery. Should be an individual contributor who can lead a team to plan and execute projects. Strong listening skills with the ability to return clear understanding orally or written. Ability to work in a fast paced environment and achieve goals. Responsible for using the PMO tools and processes to ensure the quality of project status and reporting as required on a scheduled or ad-hoc basis. Requires frequent interaction and communication with the Business Process Management team for demand prioritization, resource scheduling and execution. Leadership and talent development is essential to this role to serve as a role model to all project managers in the PMO from experience and actions.

Required Skills :


Project Management:

·         Lead and implement  projects aligned with business goals

o   Near term Merger & Acquisition projects

o   Longer term – serve as a point of leadership to other project managers inside and outside of the PMO

o   Additional business projects as required

·         Facilitate creation and presentation of business cases, project charters and implement deliverables in a timely and efficient manner.

·         Provide project stakeholders and IT PMO Director with regular project status & reporting.

·         Manage stakeholder expectations through clear, concise and professional presentations and communications.

·         Identify appropriate internal and external resources necessary to accomplish project deliverables on time and on budget.

·         Assist IT PMO Director in the creation of resource plans and cost estimates for Project requestors

·         Manage projects as requested by IT PMO Director – including project plan development, budget development, risk analysis, requirement gathering, project execution and status reporting

·         Provide clear and active project administration with daily, weekly and monthly reports on single projects, programs and the entire portfolio as required.
